Anyone recommend a good cheap phone mount?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone recommend a good cheap phone mount?

Cheap as in under $20. Looking for something that will mount my phone to my stem ideally but handlebars or even top tube is ok. I have a $200 Android phone with 5" screen so something universal that will hold it in place without being too bulky. I've read a bunch of reviews on bike sites and looked at top ones on Amazon but the options are dizzying.

Here is my universal phone mount.

There was an initial problem that I repaired, now all is good.

An upcoming modification is to replace the white T-1 3/4 LED parts that are currently pointing down with white 1206 SMT LED parts that face forward, Those parts will be in-hand on Saturday for that modification. Those internal LED parts will be handy for the night time blinking.

The SMT LED parts arrived early so I reworked from the T-1 3/4 parts facing down to the 1206 SMT part facing forward, as-shown in this reply.

Quad lock, hands down. It's small, light and Rock solid. I've tried so many mounts and this is the only one I've been pleased with long term.

I was almost set on Quad Lock but figured what the hell since it was so cheap, and so far it's been working great. One of my bikes is a touring bike with cross lever brakes which I cannot use with a plastic mount but since this is made of silicon I can wrap around any way I like it. OTOH silicon doesn't provide much stability so it's a bit shaky on rough roads but I've ridden plenty of gravel roads without a problem. Highly recommend.

Quad lock is the bomb, but it's expensive. However, I can pick my bike up by my phone, so there's that.

You can get Quad Lock with 3M stickies that put the received lock on any phone or case. (As long as it's a smooth surface) That's opposed to the iPhone cases that have the reciever lock built into the case itself.

I have no idea if the non iPhone versions are authentic Quad Lock or knock offs.

Yes, Quad Lock doesn't fit my needs of being less then $20 and working with my Android phone. I ended up ordering a Bone Bike Tie:

Don't have it yet so can't review it but it has a lot of good reviews and should work for my needs
