Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's your favourite routes in the Bay Area? Mines the maze of roads accessed from Foothill Expy that lead into the mountains.

p.s would'nt it be great for BF to have subfolders where ppl list favourite routes (as well as the descriptions)? We could have them in the Road bikes, Moutain bikes, Fixed gear/Single Speed folders etc...Mebbe the Mods could look into that for me

Mine are the maze of roads between Skyline and Hwy 1. Check out Sequoia Century routes from past years. This century starts in Palo Alto and takes various routes out to the ocean and back. They change the route every couple of years to give you some variety. This year, we went out to Santa Cruz and back.
