Actually the Podium Equipe did return in 2018, but only with disc. I have one
Same basic paintjob and frame shapes. I have mine with Dura Ace mechanical and hydro discs. Put around 2k on it so far, it loves to accelerate quickly, so I second that sprinting comment. However, it's a lot comfier than many other racey frames I tried out before buying the DB. Came with HED Jet 4+ disc wheels, and that's been the only problem. The rear hub seized up last week and I had to send it in for warranty repair/replacement. Not DBs fault though. It would be a shame if the bike did not make a reappearance, as it's a great frame and a great value.

Yep that was probably me, nobody around here with a SV or other bike withbthis type of color combo. Will you be riding the Tour De Palm Springs? We have a fairly fun group of us that do it together every year. The club also rents a house for an after party. Ping me if interested!

always fun to meet like minded folks! Shoot me a PM and we can try to get together for a few miles and say hello. The desert bike club is a great group as well. I imagine that you must do some rides around Joshua tree, a few of us try to get up there a few times each year.

That bike looks a bit small for you?
It looks though that you have taken a leaf out of the pro's book and have taken a smaller bike than a JRA person like myself would do.
If any of the above is correct, could you explain the thinking behind going a frame size or two smaller than regular folk would.

1. Less carbon lighter frame
2. shorter tubes means stiffer frame
3. All pro tour bikes need to be available for sale, as such many of the frames made for mortals have higher stack heights, so if the pro chose the correct size frame he may not be able to get the bike to his correct fit specifications. Many of these guys ride pretty severe saddle to handlebar drop to get as low and aerodynamic as possible.

The reasons the pro cyclists tend to ride smaller frames than us mere mortals are as follows, pick any or all of them:
1. Less carbon lighter frame
2. shorter tubes means stiffer frame
3. Thanks for that info.

In my case I’m 5’7” so a 52-53cm bike is what I usually do. This is essentially that size but custom made so it doesn’t have some of the usual looks of that size bike (more sloping top tube, shorter stem, etc.) I wanted a bike built for my dimensions that had a more traditional appearance. Because the head tube is also made for each bike it could be sized the way the fitter wanted with only one spacer below the stem as part of the spec’d Build. My saddle to stem drop is less than one centimeter different from my Old Trek domane. Total drop is about 2.5 inches

Hot, but I don't get the red cages on both your bikes. Speedy looking hot rod though. Be curious to see it with different cages, and the steerer trimmed.

Only have one so far of this years team crit bike.
Bianchi Sempre Pro frame
Shimano Dura Ace DI2
Tacx bottle cages
Dura Ace pedals
Rotor 3D+ 170mm cranks
Power2Max NG Echo Power Meter
HED 120mm -10degree stem
Zipp SL88 Traditional Bend Bars 40CM
Ritchey Comp seat post with 20 degree offset
Pro Stealth Carbon railed saddle
Hed Stinger 6 Tubular wheels
Michelin Pro 4 25mm tires (will be changing to Vittori Corsa come season)
-(Training wheels are HED Jet 6plus with Coras G+ 25mm tires)
I know some won't like the wheels stickers but they are a sponsor and we like to rep a local brand proudly.

Sorry about the water bottle and saddle bag, but I can't be asked to go out to my shed and take a photo without them on there. Mudguards are removable, but are on for the winter.

I posted this one on the last hot or not thread. Made a few changes, namely bar tape. The colour scheme isn't for everyone, but I like it.
