That is my preferred method of warding off pickpockets at downtown crits. I do defer to fashion, by using boxers rather than briefs.

I only wear a base layer nylon shirt, so of course I put the bibs on the outside.

And I wear socks with my SPD sandals. Otherwise, you get gravel/sand between the strap and your skin, and you get "strap rash."
