Yummy. I'll show off my Dukes when it gets warmer out and I shave them. My legs look like Robin Williams' arms.

I really wouldnt mind seing a whole pic of you riding, if that's OK to ask.:)

I don't wish to appear disingenuous, but I don't find what I do all that special. Losing my leg made me stronger. I have yet to have to deal with any problems because of the amputation, but now I know how to push my self the pain and fatigue we all experience in a our attempts to make ourselves stronger and faster. Now when my lungs feel like they are going to explode during a climg or sprint, instead of sitting up I stand up and push another hundred yards...of course with my genetic lack of speed that probably takes me a lot longer than it would you. Before I end up sounding like a cliche of an inspirational speaker... Jim Penseyres finished RAAM three times. Dexter Benjamin..well just watch the video. These guys are the guys that have re-inspired me.

As for a picture of the whole me. Ironically as much attention as draw to myself with a flame encrusted prosthetic, I tend to avoid cameras as I don't feel really comfortable with how the rest of me looks. We all have our foibles.

*edited* took my picture off, I chickened out:p

You are a lot of inspiration to me. You're about one hour away from where I am, do you also ride in the winter? It wasnt bad this year, for the exception of the two last weeks!

What I don't mention is that I was using SPD-Rs cranked down and couldn't get out of my pedals when I flatted. I ended up leaning against some concrete thing while Jim pulled on my shoe until it came out. Pete I think did my other foot. Truly unpretentious folk.

I own a steer named Bruno, so whenever I am referring to my calves (on my legs) I always say "Brunos." "Oh man, my Brunos are sore."

It takes people a second to understand what the hell I'm talking about.

Also, people have said how "gay" these threads are, but this one really takes the Liberace cake.

Anyone have a picture of Hesslich's legs?
