After this post-- another reason why I am a mountain biker at heart and just road bike to stay in shape.

The other day, I pushed a cat off the counter (he knows he's not supposed to be there!) and I guess I startled him, 'cause he grabbed ahold of something on the way down. That something was unfortunately my right calf. Like I said, I guess I statled him, because this is the cat that would rather fall off your lap than use claws on a person. He's VERY gentle.
But he got me - but not deep at all. 'Twas but a flesh wound. But it looked horrible! So, at work the other day, I pulled up my pant leg to show my buddy and he says "Holy S**T!! Look at your leg! And I said "What? It's not that bad!" To which he replied, "No... your muscle - it's huge! God D**N" So, that was a nice complement. I guess this cycling stuff is showing some dividend. |

Here's a pure climbers physique. Remember kids, it's power to weight ratio.

Where are pictures of people's legs on bikes?
Here is my left leg. Don't have one of the right leg. I guess that I am not good enough to have people taking my picture on a bike. :) |
Hee Hee... I have to laugh at one of the earlier posts by the guy talking about KirkeIsWaiting's legs and wondering what she looks like being a Jersey Girl etc... There was a pic of her in the "congratulations" thread recently holding her bike up and for what it's worth...yes... she is pretty much a hottie. :-) Now that guy will be searching BF for the picture I bet! LOL
I suppose I should post a couple pics of my legs here too... I've been injured for like six weeks, but they still got some tone to 'em. Gotta find my camera. |

they look like Holocaust victims...it is gross...i guarantee you no matter how much i get into cycling i would never let my body look lilke that.

I have seen that one of Rasmussen before, and one question kept appearing in my mind:Is that really healthy? I mean, obviously if they can ride the entire Tour that way, they must be doing something right, but it seems like there must be some kind of physiological side effects from looking like that...
Does anyone have any input on this? |
