SRAM red ax’s 12 speed versus Force
Hey all. Thinking of ditching my Campy 10 speed super record bought in 2004. My bike does not have internal cables and wanting electronic shifting, that allows only wireless hence SRAM.
My question is is the extra cost of the red really worth it compared to the Force. Thanks.

Most of the extra cost involves weight savings. If you're not racing at a high level, it's probably not worth it, except for show value. Same goes for Campy super record.
Both are very expensive compared to Campy's new Chorus 12 group. I bought two chorus 12 groups for less than one force group costs.
Some users of electronic groups express disappointment that it takes longer to make multiple shifts with electronic.

I really wouldn't pay extra for the few hundred gram weight savings and get the Force. That said, I'm going with di2 over eTap due to the cost of parts, like cassettes, chains and chainrings. Insane how much these cost!

don't forget new freehub body if your rear hub has XDR option, otherwise a new wheelset.
