Wireless earbuds while riding?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

100% of my solo rides are using a single, wired, earbud, in the curbside ear, so I can easily hear a passing cyclist and hold my line, or so I can give a passing car as much space to pass as I can reasonably give, thereby mitigating risk. I have wireless buds too, but don't use them on the bike, because I like knowing if the bud falls out, it's tethered (with the wire under my jersey) and the bud can be easily put back in without me needing to take my eyes off the road.

After years of riding without earbud, I bought GoNovate G8, which is a single earbud. When riding, I like it a lot and use it on most rides. Unfortunately, the microphone is pretty useless,
