It's the most comfortable way to ride 20 miles on road whether you call that "a training ride" or "commuting."
Yes. It's a good way to get your racing tires to the track when you don't want to pay for and garage a truck plus trailer combination.
I've also never seen a street legal car with insufficient cargo space to transport a laptop to the office.
