“30mm wide rim”...what is widest tire?
The seller show me the spec of 30mm as the outer dimension of the rim.
If you have to guess the inner rim width...what would it be?
I am trying to figure out what if I can do a 32mm tires.
I am in China, trying to buy a entry level roadbike. here, Theres no road bike with wide tires with unless you spend big bucks on a Trek or something. everything seems to come with 23mm wide tires.
theres plenty of frame clearance for 32mm tires.
rim double wall
outer rim dimension : 30mm
tires: Kenda k191 700x23

Could be 19mm, up to 23mm, but even at 19mm, a 32mm tire will probably measure a lil bigger. If the frame will fit it, should be a good setup. I recently switched to 32mm GP5000s and they're great.

I'd guess 21 or 23mm. Most likely 21.

Alloy rim would be 25mm internal with 30mm external.
Carbon rim might be different.....21 or 23mm internal for 30mm external
Largest width tire for 25mm internal would be about 3 inches.
Largest width tire for 23mm internal would be about 2.5 inches.

Yeah, that and my Rovals is what i was going by (the Roval CL50s are 30mm wide as well, with a 21mm ID).
I reckon if a company is woke enough to go with modern wide 28-30mm OD rims, they are probaby reasonably wide on the ID as well.

[QUOTE=noodle soup;21428727]Hmm...for sure the rim comes with 23mm tires...so theres no way it can have 30mm outer width.
I guess the 30mm spec I got must be wrong. Maybe 30mm is the height of the rim, instead. I edited post 1 to reflect this.

Eg, both my Rovals have a 21mm ID. One has a 28mm OD, one has a 30mm OD, but i can mount 23c tires on both of them quite easily.
