What replaced Michelin Pro4 Service Course Clinchers?

Marketing would say the Power Competition.. faster but less robust (easier to flat). I'd choose the Power Endurance -- about the same speed and protection as the older Service Course.

The replacement is the Pro 4 Service Course V2
But I can't find them anywhere in the USA - what's the deal with Michelin in the USA?
I tried ordering the V2's from one of the European discount places - but they never arrived and i am now in a dispute with paypal...
I liked the Pro 4 (23) and used them for years
I have found the old model (non-V2) in stock at one US store, but I'm afraid they might be too old...

Back when I needed to replace my Pro 4s' I ask the fluffy guy what they consider replacement for it. Like someone else said they stated the Power Competition are the direct replacement. I've been happy with them. I like that they finally have wear indicators in them. I haven't heard of the V2 version.

I am not sure why you wouldn't think that a tire they call the " Pro 4 Service Course V2" wouldn't be the replacement for the tire they called "Pro 4 Service course"

currently have some pro 4 endurance and love 'em. have always been happy with the pro 4's. occasionally skimped/saved (or pro 4's were out of stock
at the shop) and bought the old pro 3's and always regretted it. so guessing the pro 4 endurance are waay "old stock?" like two + years old. if so, i'd still pick
up another pair or two, especially is the price is nice.

I've used pro 3 and pro 4 models of various sorts over the years. The new power endurance model is much better, but currently hard to find. I'm buying more whenever I find some in 25mm with red side wall. These tires last far longer than any I've ever used before.

I recently installed a set of Michelin Power Road 700 x 28, which is slotted in between the "competition" and "endurance" models. So far I really like them. They ride nice, stick to the road really well, and roll easy. My basis for comparison is a set of Conti GP 4000s tires they replaced. Granted, comparing new to worn isn't fair, but so far I like them a lot. Only about 300 miles on them, so I can't really comment on durability except to say no issues so far.

I've been using Michelins since 2012, currently on the Power Competitions, and have gotta agree with the general sentiment here that the product lineup and availability is in a bit of disarray at the moment. Hopefully they get it sorted because they make very good tires IMO.

It feels like their line has always been in disarray. However, when I started riding outdoors every morning at the beginning of the pandemic, I started using the P4E because it was the most supple highly-durable tire I could find (110tpi with bead-to-bead Kevlar), and the new version of that is the Power Protection+. Happy enough with them; they have a lot of cuts but haven't flatted yet (knock on wood).

I bought a set of Pro4 Service Course a few years ago, sidewall blew out 100 km into my first 120 km ride with them. Clear defect and the seller sent me a new one. I had also bought a pair of Pro4 Endurance which I installed in the meantime. Never really warmed up to them, they didn't seem as grippy as the Hutchinsons I had been using before.

FWIW, when the Pro4 Endurance V2 came out, they weren't in fact labelled with a "V2" -- neither on the packaging nor on the tire itself. The packaging was redesigned a bit, though it didn't reference v2 anywhere that I recall. Not sure if the same for the standard Pro4s, but it may be likely that they're V2s even in the US even if not listed as such. Probably this was done so that retailers wouldn't have as much hassle clearing the V1 inventory.
