Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Road Bike making clicking noise when pedalling fast or leaning/turning to the right.

As the title says, driving me nuts..

Rebuilt the ENTIRE bike, even added new BB bearings, loctite, grease, carbon paste, rebuilt the cassette etc. the only non carbon parts of the bike are the stem which is aluminum and the saddle rails. I noticed that my seatpost collar was starting to fracture so I sawed the fractured part off but the sound still remains. I checked the skewers, still there. At this point i'm thinking my frame/fork/expander bolt are the culprit. The expander bolt has finish line carbon paste on it. I have applied carbon paste to the stem spacer rings, aluminum stem,, seatpost, greased the saddle rails and mounting bolts. I plan on going to my LBS if i can't iron it out myself but want to see if someone can chime in and help. Also clicks when i'm off the saddle, and when coasting.

Gene

My shoe cleats squeak when climbing. Maybe that's it?

Sounds like it's coming from the middle to the rear area. No cleats, I have flats on right now.

Rim brakes. But I fixed it! The presta valve was the culprit. Greased them both, noise gone. Holy ****, a million other things and it happened to be the valve stems..
