P3x ??
Hi fellows,
Is the P3X as good as it seems or is there something better in that price range?
https://www.cervelo.com/en/p3x
On a side note, what type of Bike Stand are mechanics using for beam bikes?
Thank you

Good as it seems n what way, exactly?
If you're in the market for a triathlon bike, I think the TriRig Omni is far and away the best value available. It's the only one I'd consider if I was looking for a triathlon-only bike.

Hi, thanks for the tip. Why are you using a Felt AR instead of a TrigOmni?

An AR isn’t even a tri bike.
The P3X is fine on the flat, but it’s heavy enough that even the “aero is everything” tri geeks don’t want to use it on courses that are hillier than gently rolling.

Hi, so what are the tri-geeks recommending these days in that price range?

Bikes: Propel, red is faster
IMHO, post up on Slowtwitch.com
Some responses will be similar as in BF, but that forum is better equipped in terms of it being a triathlon forum. Not only that, fitters, vendors, and coaches routinely post advice.
Some of their first comments may be similar though, like obtaining a triathlon bike fit before looking at specific bikes. Different bikes can accommodate different fit coordinates sometimes to an extent it eliminates choices.
That's an expensive enough set of bikes (P3X or the Tririg that was proposed) that I would get a fit done before buying the bike.
It's just enough money you're spending I would steer you over there even though be have tri bike folks here, and a subforum for it here.
Good luck.

I can't in good conscious really answer your question in the manner it appears you desire then. I can't do it as I don't believe doing so leads to the conclusion I would want for myself if I were out to buy a triathlon specific bicycle.
I'm out. Good luck either way.
