How funny. I rode with PenVelo in the late 80's, early 90's. Those were some of the best rides ever!

Were the Simonetti brothers leading the recreational/century riders back then? They were great - I flatted on a ride once, and between Carlo and Luca they had the tube changed and pumped back up in no time! Like having a pit crew!

As I understand it, you only slighty increase your odds of winning by buying a ticket.

What if I cash out my 401k and buy one, plus a few more?

Depends. Would you buy all the tickets with the same numbers?

Very doubtful, according to the magic 8 ball.

So I'm at the doctor's office to talk about the bee/wasp sting reactions and, in checking me in, they had me step on the scale, something I haven't done in a few months, at least... fully clothed, including winter outerwear. 186! :bday:

I was prepared to see 190 or so in my birthday suit, so I'm pretty happy with this.

Of course, maybe this just means that I've lost muscle from my massive guads.

That is a really great idea!

Can't win if you don't play.

couldn’t fine the original post. Where and when was that?

The road failure? That was a result of the 1994 Northridge earthquake and that spot was on the I5 about 30? miles north of downtown LA.
This is another spot a few miles south of the other one.

Nice!

I've been 186 in my BS for some time and cannot seem to lose the 10 I'd like to lose. Of course, according to my wife, I have no ass and skinny legs, so that only leaves one place to lose it.

But, I'll tell you, giving up eating is a hard thing to do. Especially when you are always putting up pictures of pizza and cookies and stuff that I really like.

I hope to get down to the weight of an average adult American woman this year.

...but I won't give up pizza and cookies to do it. Moderate? Sure. Give up? Hell no.

Oh, and as for the talk with the doctor... the basic advice was to not get stung. :foo:

He said that, because the reactions were localized, even if severe, he didn't think that it was an allergic reaction that an allergist would do anything about. :(

They get fat and their FTP diminishes, of course.

In other words, HTFU.

Probably true. The allergist would only want to give you venom therapy if you had anaphylaxis or an all-body reaction. Trust me, you don't want a systemic reaction.

i’m in the same boat as mojo. No ass and skinny long legs.

LAJ 01-22-21 03:09 PM

I use salad as filler, and when we have pizza, it's dinner that night, and lunch for 3 more days, and maybe four, depending on which pizza joint we choose. Sometime it's even Pizza Hut, because Mrs. LAJ likes that ****. It's weird to see that in print, because I can easily dust a medium sized pizza without thinking about it, and still eat desert, should I choose.

Welp, the way things are progressing, it might only take a few more stings. :twitchy:

Not looking forward to the days itching and swelling upon the next sting. :(

Not me. I've got legs like tree trunks and the ass to go with them. Mrs. GeneJockey got me some XL sweatpants, and I tried them on - waist was too loose and the thighs and calves were real tight. Massive guads, you might say, but also massive calves and glutes. You'd think with all that muscle I'd be stronger....

Oh, I'm right there with ya. The nice thing, though, is that as I've eaten less, I can't eat as much. Man, could I pack it away before.

Yup, most of my weight is below the belt, too.
