Tracking Ride Details
Does anyone track their ride conditions - specifically wind? I just got back from a ride and checked weather.com and accuweather.com and they said southerly winds & 6 mph. However, when I was on the ride, there are some buildings with giant flags and those things were straight out b/c of the wind. I don't think a measley 6 mph wind could do that. Where does everyone go for accurate weather details? Or does nobody track this type of info?

I do.
I always note weather conditions in my log.
Sky condition--temp--wind.
You can get pretty good at estimating the wind with practice. Forecast plus current readings on line....then your best guestimate.
I'm not sure why I keep all this info, but I still have the home-made running charts I used on poster board from college in the early 80's.

Yep.
Check the local weather channel affiliate's weather radar and data before leaving home. Again after I return. Info goes into the ride journal, along with anything else I observe along the way.
