Anyone notice Lance's Oakleys?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone notice how Lance's Pro M Frames have little fins above and below the frame - similar to what Mitsubishi does with the Lancer Evolution.

Maybe its a wing that creates lift and helps lance up the hills, and then he flips them upside down on the descent to act as a spoiler

What does that have to do with this thread? I just thought that frames were unique.

lance's oakleys are prototype/early access and are not generally available to the public.

i find it amusing that the
RUSTY WALLACE glasses

cost $30 more ($205 vs. $175) than the
LANCE ARMSTRONG glasses

Or, maybe one should think of it as an acknowledgement that NASCAR has done an incredible job of marketing in the last 10 years. Open wheel racing is struggling in America and NASCAR rules. Perhaps cycling has something to learn and someday it's stars can command the top pricing on their goods.

I enjoy NASCAR. I have no quams with them. I was just wondering if anyone had seen that because I didn't notice much talk about it - just thought I would ask.

Well DUH. The Armstrongs have cutouts in the lenses, greatly reducing the amount of space age lens material needed

hah

Bikes: '06 Blue Competition RC5AL w/ritchey pro fork, spinergy stealth PBO, etc.

rusty glasses and lance glasses do not have the same frame.

new lance glasses look lame.

oakley is a rip-off on the same level that gas is in southern california. but people think they need it, so they buy it anyway. that's how they make idiots worldwide pay that much for their name. employees of spy optic pay about $38 for something that the general public pays $85. that simply means that the average oakley customer is about $50 dumber than the average spy customer.

They're both Mframes. The reason why Rusty's is more is because his signature model has Black Iridium lenses. Lances lens dont have that mirrored tint to it, so it's cheaper.

So, are saying that we should put fenders on our bikes?

Whoa, people still wear Oakleys? I thought they went out of style in 1999.

I wear some Bollé sunglasses and only paid 35 dollars for them, they seem to work perfectly well. Why pay so much for colored polycarbonate?

kestrel 200sci. i'm on my third one in thirteen years.
helmet - specialized S1. not a walmart sale, but supergo for $55. pretty good deal if you ask me.
shoes - lake CX-305. been wearing lake since i got my first bike back in '85.
(and since we're talking about sunglasses -- i have a pair of wiley-x xl-2's that are awesome, and an older pair of native low ryders that have been replaced twice at $20 a pop after being scratched)
