Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I won! I won!

Well, it's 12:25 am, and I just won a Peak Bar from the Trek shindig. I really stoked about it, too! Of course, I have to ride about 10 miles out to claim it, but still - COOL! Sorry, it's late, I'm tired, and I was convinced I'd never win before this!

As soon as I read this, I went to the Trek site and played, and also won a Peak bar. Hah.

Maybe someone at Trek read our "no mojo" thread.

Wow, that is really weird, is it possible that the random prize generator was sped up this morning as the tour winds down. After reading this thread, I won a water bottle! I know a bunch of you were going for the pedals or the vacuum, or the bike or the wheelset, but my holy grail was the watter bottle!...and now I shall have one!
That brings my total to 1 peak bar and a -- WHOOHOO! -- discovery water bottle. My life is now complete!

I "almost" won the Jetta today. I'd rather have "almost" won a Disco jersey. WTF am I going to park a Jetta?

I won a peak bar today too. I really just wanted the wheels and the pedals and the bike and the jersey and the ride with Lance. Is that too much to ask? Sheesh.

Yeah, but my dad's feeling a longer ride, and he mentioned going out to Crapitola, so hey - why not redeem it then?

I scored a water bottle a couple of days ago, just trying to figure out where I can pick it up here in the Phoenix area. Landis Cyclery maybe??
