Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

spare tube
bell multi-tool w/ tire levers
2nd wind inflator
2 12g CO2 carts
cell phone
car/apartment key
sometimes credit card and ID

pretty much all I can fit in there. I'll carry cliff bars in my jersey pockets if I need them. I used to carry the wallet but it doesn't fit anymore.

Spare tube
CO2 inflator
one tire lever (only ever needed one)
Mini-Tool
Atwater-Cary's smallest First-Aid kit (smaller than the folded tube.)
Mini-CPR mask.
tucked inside the 1st aid kit.
Aspirin
Nitroglycerin Tabs.
A tube of GU.
A packet of emergen-c (electorlytes powder plus vitamins C and B's)
Zantac, tylenol, immodium, and a packet of sunscreen towlette.
Oh, and a pair of neon green tire-flys with adaptors for nights.

Sounds like a lot but it fits in the smallest size seatbag though tightly.
The first aid kit is more than i'd need personally but i'm a trauma nurse so i figured i'd better have the basics.

How resilient are the CO2 cartridges ??
No problem having them in a black bag out in the sun for most of the day?
How long do they last without expiring/leaking?

trek bag with:

2 bontrager tubes
2 tire levers
loaded CO2 with two extra 12 gram carts

i like the idea of putting a cell phone in the bag or arse bag as my wife calls it, but it is almost full. later.
