Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

SRAM Force Road; New Brake Pads ?'s

Hi Friends,
Quick question RE: SRAM FORCE ROAD Brake Pads. Been running the black metallic pads on my 2021 Tarmac. Installed new pads this weekend. Same material/pads. Do I need to follow the same 'bed in' procedure as I would with brand new rotors and pads? Do I need to do anything more or less as I only replaced the pads with like pads? Should be plenty of pad material on the rotors already. Thank you.

Are they stopping you well enough currently? Just ride your bike and after 300 miles or so they'll be about as good as they will get bedding them and you'll perhaps have 300 miles more life out of them.

The pads w/ the black backing plates aren't metallic, they're organic. And no, if that's what you had before you should be fine w/o bedding.
