Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bought a road bike today!!

Well, I've been slaving away with my old 12 speed Peugeot but found a deal I couldn't pass up today.
I believe it's a Giant OC3 from last year. I bought it for $200. It's in great shape...the guy I bought it from said he was more into BMX bikes. Looks like I'll have a new commuting bike.

More images...plus my old Peugeot can be found at

I do feel lucky but if it makes you feel better I got my first flat on the ride this evening.

Hopefully it's not a sign of things to come. I've read of others having similar problems with these tires. I guess it has something to do with the rim tape.
