Shamals or Zondas??
Hey all. So, I've been looking for a new set of wheels that are tubeless compatible. I have little thorn issues in my desert road area and am sick of frequent flats. I currently run Campy Zonda C17's, which are really nice. In looking for a new set I found two-way Shamals for about $580 (used, but evidently in "excellent" condition") and new two-way Zondas for about $300. Both very good prices, but I'll need to switch out the Zonda hubs (Campy) for Shimano. That'll tack on another $80 for the Zondas. So, $200 price difference between the two. Is it worth getting the Shamals for the extra coin? Are they that much "better"? I have read some on-line reviews that they can be less comfortable than the Zondas, in that the Shamals have aluminum spokes and are stiffer. I'm pretty happy with the Zondas I have, but wouldn't mind spending the extra cheese for a set that is noticeably nicer.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have been riding a pair of Shamal 2way fit wheels for the past 13 years. I very much doubt that the aluminum spokes would make any difference in ride comfort. If you have to pay extra for the free hub for the Zondas and the Shamals are in like new shape, they would be my choice
If the Shamals are used, you can possibly negotiate the price
