Importance of frame size?
Looking at a Quintanta Roo Tequila for a great price however
it's a 61cm frame. Im 34.5 inseame 6'1'' arm reach of 29'' 189lbs and measure up to a 58-60 frame size. How will it hurt me if I go with a 61cm frame size?

Could hurt alot. Was your size measurement reference C-C? and how is the frame you ae looking at measured? Makes a difference as does TT length. My BIKE inseam is 35.25 and I ride a 57c-c or at most a 59 C-T with a 56.5 to 57cm TT.Slightly small is usually better for most people than too big.

Can you test ride it?
Bike manufacturers vary so much in their sizing that you just can't tell by the numbers if it fits.
I normally ride a 54cm frame and accidentally test rode a 58cm tri bike and it fit and has for three years now. But my paramount is a 53.5cm and it fits as well.

I am beginning to look at road bikes. I understand the measurements for fitting and am able to take long test drives when I choose.
I am having a bit of dificulty with the issue of compact frames though. The only "advantage" my LBS seems to give for compact frames is that the offer more standover room and permit manufacturers to offer fewer sizes.
Can we add the compact frame question to this discussion of frame sizes please?
I am looking rather longingly at the Giant OCR1 right now.
Thanks
Carl
