I began the night in a bed, but at 2:30 it wasn’t as cold as expected, so I returned to the hammock. On the way I had the bright idea to grab the Carharrt. It only went down to 60 and I am comfortable. Next Wed and Thu promise to be quite cold again. Vamos a ver.

Last Tuesday, the guy in front of me at SFO wore lace-up shoes, which he had to untie and then loosen the laces. That took a while. And then on the other side he had to go through the reverse. Why would you take a plane wearing those? It took me about 2 seconds to take off my loafers.

Walked to work today in the rain like a boss. Covered the 0.92 mi in 15 min flat, including a 30s stop at a stoplight. The bottom of my pants and socks are slightly damped, but not soaked and not too bad. Used a dinky 3' diameter umbrella and my pactimo lightweight rain coat.
A close friend of ours (and co-worker of mine) is going out to dinner w Liz tonight, so I will get a ride home. Walking back through this in the dark (w more traffic) does not sound like fun.
