Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Orbea Orca OMX 2023

Hi everyone.
I'm looking for information on the new Orca OMX, does anyone have any feedback on the riding experience, handling and comfort of this bike?
If possible, I would like your comments on the difference you found with other bikes you use or have used.
Thanks in advance.

On FB, there is an Orbea Orca users group where you may find more feedback. I ride a 2012 Orca Gold. Still a very nice frameset, however it went back to Orbea in 2019 because the cable stops on the side of the head tube continued to fall off or become unglued. Real PIA. It took many months for this assessment and then repair to take place. This frame was a free replacement for my 2009 Orca that developed a crack and delamination on the top tube. Sometimes on the users group, i do see people posting images of cracks in their frame. Whereas I like my Orca, I am not sure that I will replace it with a new one because 1. they offer builds with Shimano and Sram and I am a Campy guy and 2. because most new bike frames, the Orca included are designed for disk brakes and for a high end frame, no caliper designs offered which means that I can not migrate my Record 11 Caliper group, 3. to buy just the Orca frameset is very overpriced. I will likely go with a Time ADH frame next. Made in France and very nice.
