Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I flipped it. Again.

When I when in for my "fitting", I specifically asked the guy to flip my stem up so that I can ride more upright. After 800 miles, it still feels great. I can ride for a long time and my back doesn't hurt. Unfortunately, I've decided it looks like $hit (a hybrid with drops). I've succumbed to OCP thinking again. So, I'm going to flip it back and see how it feels. At least, it'll look "right".

I have a Volpe with drops. Looks right to me. What exactly should a hybrid look like?

And I flipped my stem up. Too bad I still fit on my bike like I'm in a Tri/TT position.

I think its entirely possible to have an OCP bike with a stem at only +6 degrees. All that matters is how much carbon is on that stem!!!

Feels great after 800 miles, so you're switching? Seriously, why would you do that? You must really want to look cool.

RoboCheme,

A pic of your bike would help for us to give any suggestions.

Although, if you want, just flip up the stem when you ride. When you spend a weekend posing, just flip it back down.

That's EXACTLY why he's the prez!
Now, a little less worry about the stem, and perhaps people won't notice that it is up if they're looking at YOU instead because you look so OCP!
