Thanks for that Thylo - sounds like some of the posts from the vegan roadie thread

Resist? Best not to resist when you have the urge.

Any tips for tonight's stage? ~230km with a couple of pimples and a 'hilly' finish to hurt the sprinters. I'm guessing sprinters favouring the intermediates and the finish contested by wannabee climbers or O'Grady to go for a break on the 2nd Cat 3 climb (with about 200km to go) only to get caught with the finish line in sight.

Ill pick Boonen for this one. he can climb reasnobly well for a sprinter cant he? if he can keep in touch on the climbs then he should be able to put it away.

well i know where i found it.....

Wattsy, there's this thing you might've heard of...called 'The Internet'....

Pshaw, the link you gave descibes most of the trails i know around my place that im aware of, i.e on the epping / pennant hills side of the park. i had a look on whereis.com.au and there seems to be an entrance on lane cove road, between the M2 and lady game drive, i THINK that may be OK and im sure ive seen it as i drive past, but i dont know if its walking trail or riding trail, or even paved. if your riding the M2 on your roadie maybee scoot on down there and check it out as its not too far.
other than that, if you can get to kissing point road in turramurra which is only a 10 - 15 min drive from delhi road you can hit a big network of trails. im sorry, i just dont know where the trails i ride link up to in there as ive never had a need to look! on the weekend i may hit it up on sunday morning so if you want ill see what the street names are on the exits that i go past. i havent looked, but MTBR.com may have some advice in their trail guide section. if you get into the pennant hills section there some ripper rock gardens on some of the walking trails that you would love. fair hike on a MTB when you only have an hour tho from delhi road. |

mcewen beat boonen both lost. Now last night, that was an impressive bit of acceleration that just blew Zabel and Ogrady's doors off. Nice win. Back on track. |
We should take this opportunity to bait all the Robbie haters.

a few of us have commented in the stage 2 sticky |
TDF forum is on the main page. and yes, you can stir there ;)
on stage 1 they mentioned that Robbie was 70 kilos, i wouldnt have thought he is that heavy considering he is all of 5 ft nothing. |
small but all muscle ! 70kg isn't much.
|
According to his stats on the Davitamon Lotto team website Robbie's weight is listed at 67kgs. I'm guessing that by TdF time he would be pretty much at his optimal race weight.
edit - and 170cms I think |
hmmm so hes taller than me eh? surprising!
and 8 kilos lighter - highly unsurprising! |
If you want to see where I fit into the matrix, just look at any pix of Magnus Backstedt. I'm the same height and weight as that guy, but prettier and with more hair.
He has me trumped in the lungs and legs departments though. :) Average is what, 5ft 9ins and 71kg or something like that? Puny little b1tches! |
A little while ago I mentioned an unusual carry on with EchoWell.
Well the guys have made good on their promise and delivered a brand spanking new HRM. Not just the unit, but strap, mounting kit, speed and cadence sensor, and instruction manual. All for nicks, even international shipping was at their cost. How good is that!! :) |
Nice!

Puny little b1tches! full medical report will be on CN soon enough from the pre-Tour check ups.... tallest, smallest, heaviest etc etc. They usually come up with an "average Tour rider" as well... |
Bling's arrived. I'm the new owner of a pair of Sidi Gebius 5's and Look Keo Carbon pedals...Oh yeah and I'm happy the wifes home.
