Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lost on classification.

I live in Ottawa Canada (just in case anyone else does) and have been looking towards one of the largest local bike clubs to compare my 15kmtt times against their members. My times suck, but hey, it's just interest on my part. In any case, there exist a number of different categories i.e. vet a all the way through to vet e. Then I see things like Vet A M. What the heck is that? What the heck is any of it? The most I could find was a simple explanation of a CAT system from another web site.

I'm lost.

Can anyone either explain or point me towards a website that explains this for me? You'd be amazed how hard it is to Google.

Thanks,

Trix.
