Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Michelin Power Time Trial

Has anyone ridden these tires? If yes, what are your thoughts?

These tires are rated ‘the fastest’ by bicyclerollingresistance.com

I’m surprised no one here has experience with them. Mine should arrive this week.

if that's a tire designed mostly around track use, it wouldn't be something I'd consider. I require both puncture proof & low rolling resistance at a minimum.

Completely Understandable if puncture protection is a priority. I saw this on the bicyclerollingresistance website comparing to the well regarded Continental GP5000 which I’ve been using for the past 2 yrs and decided puncture resistance of the Michelins was ‘good enough’ for my riding conditions.

Heard nothing but good things about those Michelins from my cycling friends. I almost got a pair of those, but then went with the Enve Race Day tires. Everyone on here said they'd be too flimsy, but I've been riding them for about 500 miles with no issues (I shouldn't jinx myself!). I think you'll be fine. Please kindly report back on your experience with them. My Enve Race Day tires dropped 120 grams from the bike and they added a little pep to the bike... Hope you have similar results.

That's a funny way to spell Vittoria Corsa Pro Speed TLR 28.

I wouldn't expect a lot of people to have experience with a 25mm tubes tire that's not even the fastest in a niche of delicate 25mm TT tires, especially since they lose the BRR battle to a number of wider, cheaper and more durable tires.

There are a lot of faster TLR tires on BRR with better durability. You can run most of them tubed if you prefer.

Good idea about running TLR tires with tubes….hadn’t considered that….thanks!

This what I was looking at on BRR:

First ride on the Michelins today. Mounted to Mavic Reflex rims with 28 hole Campagnolo high flange hubs, and RevoLoop 25g TPU tubes. Really nice wheelset weighing 1150g front and 1530g rear with everything including skewers. The Michelins are 700x25 and weigh 196g each. Inflated to 90psi they measure 25.3mm on these rims (inner width 12.7mm). I have a VERY favorable first impression doing my standard 10 mile loop….extremely compliant supple feel on the road and seem to roll quite fast. I can’t objectively talk about speed, but my hands and backside certainly detected a very smooth ride.

Keep the updates coming. I want a pair of the Comp’s in 23 and may give them a go.
