Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

BMC Cockpit question

I am looking to convert the cockpit on my 2022 BMC Roadmaichine Six from the horrid exposed cables that flair out like rabbit ears into a hidden cable set up. I would prefer to keep my curent handlebar, Zip eEgo 70 40mm and i use a 110 stem. Does anyone know if the ICS2 stem supports external handlebar cabling? Do i need a new bar with internal routing? Can anyone here advise me as to exactly what parts i would need?
Thank you.

External handlebar cabling? Do you mean internal?

or do you mean external on the bars then internal through the stem?

Buy a new bike with internally run cables. Save yourself the headaches.

Especially if your bike isn't electronic shifting with hydraulic brakes. Electrical wire and hose lend themselves better for the bends and other issues that running steel cables internally poses.

Yes, but i see now that the integrated setup is a SYSTEM that includes fork, headset, topcap,etc....anyone have a suggestion for an alternative clean set up? Mine looks like hell, and My knees actually hit the cables when i stand up and hammer. Iwould like to keep these bars and stem, but am willing to buy another set if there are ways to route under the stem better.I'm running mechanical 105 , not looking to change that either. Is it purely a matter of cable length?

Tighten up your cables a bit. Yes, you would need a Roadmachine 01 fork for integrated cables.

Seems like a lot of work and investment in what will make you only marginally faster...
