Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Copilot helped me

Hi everybody, I just got AI Copilot to help me with the setup of my bikes. Back in 2010 I bought me a new 2010 Synapse with the Tiagra groupset and R500 wheelset, a year later I got a Caad 10 with a 105 groupset and RS10 wheelset. I road them like that for about 13 years, stock with the 23mm tires on both. I always had my hands, unit and balls go numb from the vibration especially on the Caad 10 after riding for over 10 miles. . I decided to change to a wider width tire {28mm} to see if it helped and it did. I put 28mm`s F/R on the Synapse {Continental Contact Speed}, that really helped. So I put 25mm F and 28mm Rear on my Caad 10 {Goodyear Eagle Sport}. Been riding them like that till now. It has really helped with the vibration with both of my bikes on these Chipseal roads on Florida. They are very rough.
I ran across Copilot on Internet Explorer Edge a couple of weeks ago and it has really helped me with my bikes. Copilot is the AI for Edge and it is the little multi-colored box looking symbol just to right of the search bar. I told it what bikes I had and that I wanted a smooth but fast ride on my two bikes and requested the right combinations for some good shimano wheel set choices and tire recommendations and it gave me some to choose from. The more info I gave it the better it helped me. Here is a screenshot of a early search of the wheel sets it suggested me try. It had a much better list after I added more detail. It also gave me a list of the wheel set and tire combinations that were the best for what I was looking for.

II have since put shimano wh-6500 with the Continental Contact Speed tires and what a difference in the ride smoothness. I got some Shimano RS81 wheels for my Caad 10 waiting on my Vittoria Corsa N.ext tires to arrive to put on the RS81 wheel set. I also told Copilot how much I weighed and it even told me the idea air pressure to run. I also found out that I am riding a Synapse that is too small so I ordered a longer stem to see if that helps too.

I didn`t know that the Shimano R500 and RS10`s were some of the worst wheels I could use but I have never had anything different. Even the Goodyear Eagle Sport tires are not that great. Man what a difference. I am 70 years old so this really helps out, no more numbness, WooooooooooHooooooooooo!
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up if you are thinking about what wheel set/ tire combination give the Edge Copilot a try if you haven`t already.. I think it is going to save me some money finding the right combo. I can`t believe it has taken so long to get it to ride this good, it feels like a different bike.

Internet Explorer Edge helped, Wow. Edge can really help when shopping. especially when seeking to buy from a vendor that Tiths to the Microsoft entity. Yes, even us guys wandering fringes of Linux and UNIX AI helps sort out the weeds. Often the Algorithms we develop appear to take on reasoning and deductions of their own. Lately we make it simple and call it Intelligence even knowing it is Artificial. Who has time to sort the maze of tires, wheels, setups, and upgrades. Just give a little data and let the Algorithm sort it out. Then just get a purchase down to three or four decisions and let me make the choice. That way I will think I had something to do with it. Ha, but that all is just a Rant. I am not against AI and find it a vital tool. Plus, if Algorithmic Intelligence gives me more enjoyable time in the saddle then, BRAVO.

To me it looks like ya got a very nice stable. Way to go...

When searching for comparisons in products I like Amazon's RUFUS, a hack off of CLAUDE. What ever the operating system and AI system we use it is more or less a door to that "door to door salesman" ready to make a sale. As always we know Big Brother Is Watching. And always ready to send a sale to our door...

Thanks for the compliment! So true, I was at an ends over the amount of different wheels and tires to sort through, I don`t have the funds to try them all, I was desperate, so I tried the AI Copilot. It really seemed to have helped with a training wheelset/ tire combo, now I am putting together more of a racey setup for the Synapse.I am just going to use the AI as a tool, hopefully nothing will go wrong
