Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Crank Length Questions

I am riding a FSA SLK Carbon Crank with Mega-Exo BB. My crank has 172.5mm inside one of the crank "arms". How can I be assured this is the correct "length" for me? I have ridden about 300 miles on my current setup and I have had no problems whatsoever. I am just trying to figure out what the deal is.

Thanks,
mscycler

Well if you havent had any problems the all is good with the world. Where's Anthony? He'll probably be along shortly. LOL... he likes to post about cranks. He can give you a link to a site specifically about crank lengths in relation to your height or legs or something. I read it but came to the conclusion that I wasnt gonna find shorter cranks than I've got so gave up on it. Mine are fine anyways... so I didnt bookmark the page.

mscycler. I had questions a while back and there are some calculators that you can use to find out what lenght you should be using... But a lot of people call that BS and some of them like longer cranks etc..... Not much help here but without much further ado, here is the thread and some links
