College Jerseys
So who would wear one, who does wear one. Stand up you alumni stand up.
Of course I don't own one yet but I'll be getting the Cougar Jersey and then getting the Cougar paint job on the old C'dale. I think that just might raise my OCP standings. |
VA Tech Hokies!
w/ matching socks. Local LBS had them for $35 so I couldn't pass it up - I didn't want to pay $75 online. Socks from Nashbar. They're European cut and run smaller. |
I wear my univ of colorado, BUFF, jersey and people give me a lot of respect..... till they find out how slow I am :D... I usually wear them on solo rides or groups I am familiar with... What's better, its yeller and black and goes great with my bike...

If you're going to sport a college jersey. Get one that's from the team, not a licensee.
College cycling is underfunded and could use the money. Shown here. SDSU team jersey circa 1994. -Z |
I would wear the jersey of my alma mater, UNC Tarheels -
But I live in Durham and work at Duke U. (huge rivalry if you didn't know) That would certainly be an invitation for getting run over or having things thrown at me... http://www.nashbar.com/nashbar_photos/small/AD-UNC.gif -seriously, most folks in Durham are actually UNC fans, so I guess I'd be safe... |
I wear one. UCLA. Go Bruins!
|
Sure! Go Blue!
|
I agree with DinoShepherd, if you are going to get a Collegian Jersey go through the team. It might be somewhat more expensive, but you will be supporting the team. Plus in my opinion they look nicer then Performance/Nashbar Jerseys.
|
Hey, Once I join the club team I'm gonna definately get the Appalachian State team kit. It's pretty nice, but I'll need a new bike for the team (I don't know if the Trek 520 with dual racks and panniers will work).
|
i use to wear mine all the time... until i kept crashing in it ive only had a few crashes but they have all been in that jersey, superstition... so i gave it to by bro.

|

I've never seen a Beloit College jersey.
|
I really like the college jerseys, very well made and fit me great. I've got a OSU jersey, BSCE '90,
http://www.nashbar.com/nashbar_photos/small/AD-BUCK.gif and hope to add a UT, MBA '92, http://www.nashbar.com/nashbar_photos/small/AD-TENN.gif Right now Nashbar has them for $70, and there are a bunch of 10% off coupons floating around. I've seen the Ohio State team jersey, it cost a lot more and isn't nearly as sharp as the one at Nashbar. John |
I wear my Ohio Univerisity jersey because I'm in college and on the team. Yes jersey sales to help fund us when bought by non-team members.
If any of you would like one (or shorts, bibs, wind jacket) contact me. Team photo here, http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~cycling |
I live in Tallahassee, the home of the Florida State Seminoles. You don't get much attention wearing FSU paraphernalia around here since so many people wear it. A U of L jersey might be fun. |
