Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How big of a time difference is this

Is a min a long time for a 10 mile ride?

I have a "Long" circuit (20 miles) that i ride rarely, a medium circuit (about 12) and a "short" that is VERY hilly that i do sometimes.

The last time i did the short (about 2 months ago) vs today, i was a min quicker today...but is that really anything worth while?

If you did your 10 miles in say 40 minutes, one minute less would be about 1mph more. Please don't ask how I do my calculus

If you're talking about a time trial on an indoor track, then 1 minute over 10 miles is a big deal. If you're talking about public streets, then traffic lights or wind can easily account for more than 1 minute.

Bikes: Time VX Edge

This minute less was reproduced how many times? Just once? Twice? 100 times?

You could just have increased your short burst strength from jimming
Try to clock your laps and get that one minute less for like 20 times...
50 minutes on a 200 miler... is HUGE!

Happy Riding,
-Peter
