Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

gimme some input on a Bikehard

I have a house down in Bonita Spring, FL and am there for a good month to 2 months out of the year. I had rented a bike that was a specialized ultra comp or something to that nature with full ultegra. It was 165 per week. Granted I only rented for a week, my mom joked that she could rent a car for less. So my delemma was that I find a bike that was used but still a nice bike, but since it would be used the price would drop a fair amount. Right, that didnt work out so well. So my decision was to sell my entry level bike, move my bike that I ride now down to florida, and get a nice bike for a good price. I think I found it. Please gimme some input. Its a bikehard with full ultegra 10.Its MSRP is 2500 and my LBS is selling it for 1699 due to the fact that Bikehard is a fairly-new company and trying to get there name around. Heres the link. https://www.bikehard.com/bicycles3.shtml

Looks like a nice bike.

I just picked up an '05 Felt F65 for $899 at my lbs though. It has carbon fork and seat stays with Ultegra and I think the same wheels that bike has. The F65 is normally $1499 but I lucked out on the price. I did see the Felt F65 at Supergo for $1199 just yesterday and the F60 for $999 though.

I just stumbled accross "BikeHard" on Bicyclebuys.com. They have a aluminum/carbon fram with Campy Centaur for about $1800 - thats not a bad deal. Does anyone know anything about their frames. I'm a little suspect, but a bike with full centaur group for that price is tempting!

BikeHard Bikes

Any input would be appreciated
