Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I haven't touched me bike since sunday

Homework everyday till 11pm at night.
No time to cycle anymore except on weekends.
If I ride, I'll have to stay up till 1 or 2. It's insane.
I'm supposed to be doing hw right now. I got to keep it short.
Not riding is driving me crazy.

I haven't done homework at home in years. either you aren't using your time very well, or your teachers are just plain sadistic.

I think it's time for a sick day.

By the way, talk like a pirate day was monday.

Get yourself a stationary trainer and a book shelf for the handlebars. Then you can spin and study at the same time.

If you live in the dorms, The whizzing sound will drive your roommates mad!

Personally, I think it's all the rap music.

If you exchange that for jazz and classical, (and alter your sig), the "Mozart effect" will correct all the damage Tupac has inflicted on your grey matter, which will result in you completing your homework in 1/2 the time.

Homework? What kind of Nancy boy are you? Get on that bike and clear your mind. Then go do some homework.

Or will all this homework one day enable you to get the most Poseur-ific ride of them all? It better be. You aren't majoring in English are you?

Lately it's been like that for me- last week it was a saddle sore, then it rained. Now we've had a couple of nice warm days- with gale-force winds! I've barely ridden in the last week.

Gee, what a great influence you guys are on me....

Work is 9-5, private high schools are another class. I do a lot during school, but still I have to work till at least 9 every night to finish. Not to mention I do other stuff after school. Plus I'm taking 2 AP classes and that's like 3 hours every night. Ugh.

What are your goals? Is your behavior consistent with those goals? Rhetorical questions.

My goals are of course school first, I know, very nerdy of me, and yes, I'm consistent. I just want more time to ride though.

Why hasn't anyone else noticed that OP has time to read and post to this forum but not to ride? Turn off the internet and get to work.

You do need to learn some time management skills.

I never work more than 15 minutes without diverting my attention for a few minutes and doing something else. And take a break to walk around for a few minutes every hour. This helps me focus and concentrate better.

I like to ride at first light because it wakes me up and gets me going.

You know, you don't have to have an hour or more to ride. If your time is limited, how about getting out there for 20 minutes or so?

I was going to ride last night but thunderstorms kept me up half the night on Monday so I didn't ride. Tonight was my wife's night to work out so I am spending time with my son. I'll ride tomorrow.

OR your teachers are doing what they should be doing . Being a former teacher I know how little is done by many kids...so I am not at all sorry. Keep studying and in school and eventually that education will pay off to where you have a job that pays well and you have the time to ride anytime you want like I have now.

Sometimes America is all about me, now, no patience, can't see beyond the short term...Yikes....pure nuts!

I feel your pain DTrain. Haven't been on mine since Saturday. My professors are sadistic, 3 exams, 1 quiz, 3 projects all in 8 days. Add working 24hours a week, round trip travel time to and from class, sleep and meals. I'm lucky to get an hour to myself after dark let alone during sane riding hours.

Wow, you'd think at the best public high school in Connecticut, they would teach you how to spell your own state correctly.
