Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, but did you check out the '60s vintage Schwinn Fastback???

I remember when I was 6 (1980), my grandmother got the 5 youngest boys in the family (6-12) a Schwinn Fastback...mine was orange...loved that bike...we used to race them up and down the street...I always lost...My cousin said it was because his black Schwinn Fastback was faster (cause it was black).

Yeah, that Fastback's got my butt all over it. Banana seat, and who needs steroids to make your voice go up when you've got that big ol' honkin' gearshift knob on the top tube....only...only...$450!?

Oh, and mscycler, black is the fastest color!
