Performance Contour saddle.
Was just looking at a possible cheaper replacement saddle for my old Centurion. Was wondering if anyone tried one of these. Does anyone know how much they weigh? Not too worried about weight, but I don't want a 400g tank either.

Bikes: Too many 80s roadbikes!
I rode one for a while; had a lot more problems with numbness than with other saddles I've used, and went back to my old Turbo. Your mileage my vary - and the brother I handed it on to hasn't had similar complaints.

I would like an SLX, but they are out of stock right now. My wife has a womens contour on her bike, and so far she likes it very much. She is petite, and could probably use a mens saddle. Anyway, I was thinking the mens version may be fine for my commuter.
The saddle I have right now is a 450g MTB saddle with a thick layer of gel. It is tolerable, but I got it for only $10 when I just needed something. Now, I want something a little nicer for my commute, yet lighter than a bolted on block of steel and gel.
The mens contour seems nice, as it has a leather cover, which is nice for the money. I found out the weight of the Contour is 295g, which is a little better, but I think if I can get an SLX I would probably go that route. The Terry mens Fly saddle is another option for comfort and weight at 230g, but they are very pricey, $70.

I need an "all day long" saddle for the centuries I ride. What is your opinion/experience with using this saddle for that sort of application?

I think it would be an insult to society if you don't spend more than 100 bucks.
