Anyone have a good luck charm?
A friend just gave one to me and asked me to tie it on my bike. It's a frog, which also means "return," so I can understand her reasoning. Do any of you have a good luck item on your bike or in the saddle pack?

I think it was Lee Trevino who said: The more I practice, the luckier I get!
Just practice more. That way, you can never leave it at home.

I always where a celtic cross, a St Christopher medal and one of my wifes old bellybutton rings on a silver chain around my neck. I've been doing for years, and started when I raced cars, now I do it all the time.

A patch kit. Not really a good luck charm, but it's been extremely bad luck to forget it when I have a flat.

Just a question of "fashion" I guess. I was debating on hanging it or stuffing it in my pack - and while do so, I was wondering if other cyclists had a "real" good luck charm (i.e. like a rabbit's foot).
And if curiosity is a trait of a troll, then I'm guilty.

About 10 years ago, I worked as an in-house courier for a small company. Nobody in the office made more than 10 dollars an hour, and it was company policy that there would be no raises. Turnover was expected. Except for the owner of the company, who made a couple hundred thousand a year.
One day, the owner asked me to put a fax machine into the trunk of her Mercedes. I had never seen a keyless entry before, so it took a while to get the trunk open and the alarm turned off. When the trunk finally popped open, a small bolt fell out of the lock assembly and into my hand. I couldn't figure out where it came from, and the lock seemed to work fine without it, so I kept the bolt.
The bolt threads perfectly into a dropout eyelet, and I've had it on one of my bikes since. I don't know if it's good luck, but I like having it there.

Any OCP objections to it being tied to the seat rails? The charm is about 1cm. I don't wanna step out of line.
