I use pledge. It works great. Once in a great while I will put a coat of nice auto wax on...for bonus poseur points.

Huh! Nifty. I was interested in waxing my old Schwinn, but was figuring on using something like Turtle Wax. I've got some Pledge under my sink. I'll have to try that out

Lemon Pledge…. Hmmm never would have guessed in a million years… I’ve been using a much diluted mixture of water and simple green for years. But now I know better…. Now if I can get the Lemon Pledge from the wife and clean the bike without her making me dust the whole house…..

i use Finishline Citrus BioSolvent to clean my bike. I would dilute it with 2 litres of water. Would it damage my bike's clear coat?

I use a dry fleece shop rag, a bag will last forever cause I wash em. diff ones for parts and frames.
What're yall cleaning off with the bleach wipes and degreasers, been cooking eggs on the frames?
j/k when I do have a bike with a decent paint job I use the pledge too, a friendly but dirty bike shop dude told me a while back when I asked why he smelled so pretty.

Most bikes today have an acrylic enamel clearcoat similar to how cars are painted. Clean a bicycle frame as you would a car except with much less water. A bucket of warm water with a dash of PH safe car wash solution...with carnuba in it works great. Use a microfiber towel to moisten the debris on the frame until saturated and then wipe it off.
Finish with a liquid detailer or a liquid wax spray as you may your nicest car as a touch up. Best to keep a good coat or two of wax on the frame and dirt will hardly stick to it making cleaning that much easier.

I wipe my bike down after every ride with Finish Line bike cleaner/polish but after it's gone I am going back to Pledge, there is really no difference. As for the clear coat issue I've used simple green on my bike for years. I do a full detail on my bike every two weeks. I fill a bucket with 20/80 mix of SG and water then take a soft brush and scrub the sucker down. I remove the chainrings and really clean them and the spider. I use a 100% concentrate of SG on the chain then spray it off with water. Then I blow the entire bike off with an air compressor to get the water out of the knooks and crannies. SG has never hurt the clear coat on any of my bikes but I'm very carefull not to leave sit either.

You Know!? For Kids!
Go the the closest Honda motorcycle store and buy some Spray Cleaner It works awesomely, all I use now. I spray it on a rag wipe down the frame. Cleans off sweat, road grime, etc effortlessy and leaves a nice shine. Safe for use on metal, chrome, paint, whatever.
