Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

i can't believe that since i saw this thread i have been thinking - seriously - about what floor surface would be the best background for the photos of my dashboard....

photos on the way. (followed soon by the men in white coats to take me away...)

sorry for the oversize image:

Absolutely!
I have black carpet in my studio just for that reason.
I always consider the background when I photograph.
Eliminates several steps in photoshop too!

Mine didn't turn out too well, but I wasted the time taking the picture, so I might as well post it. The best thing about it is the way the road is blurred.

I'll throw in a nice tree for the heck of it. Most of them are still green around here, but a few have started changing colors.

It is not a kickstand. It is a quickie bike maintenance stand I bought at the LBS for $12.99. It is helpful for doing quick adjustments, especially when travelling.

Those images are so small, I can't even see your dashboard. If you are going to attach cool scenic images, at least make them big enough so we can see them, hehe.

Somoene likes their transparency... those bkgrnds look like Michigan Ave. at Alcatraz.

Looks like you've been a Steve Jobs fan for a while though.
