Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My questions are for those of you riding on Campy's 10 speed cassettes...

How are they holding up? Does the 10sp seem to wear faster than 9sp?

I guess I have chain durability and reliability concerns. It would seem to me that the 9sp is close to maxing out the engineering...but that's probably what they said before jets!

I use 10 spd chorus and the chain, chain rings etc.. last longer and shift better than my ultegra group did.

It would seem to me that the 9sp is close to maxing out the engineering
As is 10 speed

cheers!

I find I get about 5,000 km on a chain and three chains per cassette. The chains are very good, and very tough and the cassette wear is pretty much the same as a 9-speed.

I am riding a new bike, with Campy Record including a 10sp cluster. I am running 13-26 with 39/53Right and No problems so far. I have noticed a bit of noise before fine tuning after changing gears. That's likely more me then the technology.

I live in a hilly area of So Ca. So far so good.

I ride Record 10 speed and have about 2200 miles on it this season. So far still smooth, quiet, and dependable.
