Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Shimano component compatability

I'm looking to gradually upgrade my 105 components to Ultegra. I have relatively new 105 brifters but wanted to know if there is any compatability issues with using them with Ultegra (or DA for that matter) derailleurs.

Thanks in advance for any comments

NP, assuming it's all 9 speed. But an ultegra upgrade is pretty much a waste unless the 105 is wore out.

Yes, when the "105" graphics wear out, just put "ultegra" on there.
