Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Moving spacers around to adjust fit and top half of headset popped out of place, Help

Please help! I wanted to move the spacers to raise my bars a bit for a longer ride (100km) that is coming up. When I loosened everything off and pulled up on the stem the top part of the head set came out of place. I tried to put it back but in doing so the bottom one came loose too. (not enough hands, holding bike up, holding bars, and trying to put my baby back together) I kinda got it back together but now it doesn't sit smooth with the top of the headtube and the bottom of the headset there is a small gap about 1mm, and I feel and hear a little play when I hold the front brake and wiggle the bike back and forth. The bike is a Cervelo Soloist team and the headset is a CaneCreek/FSA IS-2.

Thanks for any suggestions guys and gals,
ps. I don't really have any bike specific tools other than an allen key set

Here is the site for the Cane Creek IS headset manual. It is only two pages long. It tells you how to install and adjust your headset. It should solve your problem.
