Heras suspended for EPO (testing B Sample)

Seems silly that he was clean up until the final day of racing
This test is flawed. IMO, he hasn't done a thing.
Heras suspended
Spanish rider Roberto Heras, four-time winner of the Vuelta a Espana, has been suspended by his Liberty Seguros team following a non-negative A sample test for EPO from stage 20 of the the 2005 Vuelta.
The team's management company Active Bay suspended Heras on October 27, but did not announce the action while it awaited results of the counter-analysis of the B-sample, the team said in a statement. However, the team said a leak to the press had forced it to reveal the case.
The team said it believes Heras is innocent of the charges, but affirmed its dedication to the fight against doping.

no one complains when stuff like that happens in politics.

It is unfortunate that a rider's name is put in the press prior to the testing of the "B" sample. If later, it is shown there was as an error with the "A" sample's testing, the damage to the rider's reputation can not be repaired.
But, at the end of the day, if it is established that Heras cheated to win the Vuelta, he should be banned for life. He will have cast a cloud over one of the major event in road racing...if he is found guilty, "clean" riders were denied the right to compete in a fair race.

Too bad the urine test results were leaked (pardon the pun).
I'm waiting until the B-sample results are returned, but if that is positive also, I'm going to be very disappointed.
