I shudder to think what's being sed in the "I love LA" threads this week. It's a contest to see who can sit on the fence best in the mainstream tabloids (except for L'Equipe, of course). Most are along the lines of "LA has never tested positive", "but if he's guilty {the world will end, blah, blah, blah}"

I'm sorry, but it's more like he's a case for how much of everything you can put into your system and not get busted. Exactly which part of the last 5 years of Armstrongs' life screams 'no drugs'? |
Go on, post that on the "LA is a God" thread. You know you want to! :D

I double dog dare you. . . .
(quote Ralphie) |
I have nothing against LA. I just can't understand how a single guy can be placed on such a high pedestal for mastering the art of winning what is ultimately a TEAM event. No team, no win.
He explained it after finishing this years tour as "day after day guys would go out and hammer themselves trying to win every stage. My plan from day one was gain an advantage in the time trials and attack on one mountain stage". That was the magic formula, boring but strategically correct. And totally dependant on having the strongest TEAM around you. |

On a completely different topic, behold my new 3lb XC Scandium race rocket (WARNING: NUDITY) |
is that a mounting bike?

I will be moving to Australia in about two months, so i figure writing in this thread is allowed...:)
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on where in Australia I should pick up a mountain bike to use for getting around. Thanks. IR |

sooo, Friday night track racing tomorrow, any newcomers with new track bikes ?

Not yet. waiting on a few crucial bits (like a nut for the front wheel: DOH!).
I've got a bad feeling that the frame is too big, but it feels almost perfect sitting on it stationary. Reach is good, and leg extension is just right, but cheezuz I'm sittin so high it feels like I need an oxygen tank or two. Maybe I'm just too used to sitting way down low on my little roadie. Need a second opinion coz the sitting position is totally different to a road bike. Care to help out some time? |
Any trackies out there with minature feet? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....ADME:B:SS:AU:1

Hey, did you guys see the story about the guy was stabbed to death for his bike yesterday? I've heard it on the radio and on the news last night. Apparently it was in Collingwood, but as usual there's confilcting reports as to the details. Last night it was apparently one perp, and it was near the low-rise housing estate (very dodgy area, used to live a block from there)....and now on the radio they said it was a gang. Either way, it has to be drug related knowing the area. The sobering part I guess is that I picked up my fiancee from Sth Kensington station yesterday on my sparkly orange roadie - which isn't the most salubrious station in the world - and there was this dodgy guy, totally off his skull pushing a 50 buck K-Mart bike and swearing to himself. Perhaps we should take a leaf out of the Yanks book and all pack Uzis when we go riding? Seriously though, wtf is up with this country? Welcome aboard Iguana! It's just like home! |

Care to help out some time? big? it probably feels big due to the steeper angles and higher BB than your road bike. |
