I shudder to think what's being sed in the "I love LA" threads this week. It's a contest to see who can sit on the fence best in the mainstream tabloids (except for L'Equipe, of course). Most are along the lines of "LA has never tested positive", "but if he's guilty {the world will end, blah, blah, blah}"

Seriously, the guy had cancer, was pumped full of Chemo drugs, he's got 1 nad, pumped full of god-knows-what drugs for that, PLUS who knows whaterver drugs to help him get though the whole drama and make the comeback of a lifetime....

I'm sorry, but it's more like he's a case for how much of everything you can put into your system and not get busted.

I will be moving to Australia in about two months, so i figure writing in this thread is allowed...:)

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on where in Australia I should pick up a mountain bike to use for getting around. Thanks.

Where do you live now? Buy in the states if you can, you'll save yourself a lot of money. Why would anyone want to move here anyway?

sooo, Friday night track racing tomorrow, any newcomers with new track bikes ?

Not yet. waiting on a few crucial bits (like a nut for the front wheel: DOH!).

I've got a bad feeling that the frame is too big, but it feels almost perfect sitting on it stationary. Reach is good, and leg extension is just right, but cheezuz I'm sittin so high it feels like I need an oxygen tank or two. Maybe I'm just too used to sitting way down low on my little roadie.

Need a second opinion coz the sitting position is totally different to a road bike. Care to help out some time?

Hey, did you guys see the story about the guy was stabbed to death for his bike yesterday? I've heard it on the radio and on the news last night. Apparently it was in Collingwood, but as usual there's confilcting reports as to the details. Last night it was apparently one perp, and it was near the low-rise housing estate (very dodgy area, used to live a block from there)....and now on the radio they said it was a gang. Either way, it has to be drug related knowing the area.

The sobering part I guess is that I picked up my fiancee from Sth Kensington station yesterday on my sparkly orange roadie - which isn't the most salubrious station in the world - and there was this dodgy guy, totally off his skull pushing a 50 buck K-Mart bike and swearing to himself.

Perhaps we should take a leaf out of the Yanks book and all pack Uzis when we go riding? :rolleyes: Seriously though, wtf is up with this country?
