Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Spookeay Bird, thanks for the kind words.

rat fink, I used the "cone" spacer. If I had gone with a rising instead of horizontal stem I could have used regular spacers. The flat cap is required regardless of the spacer configuration.

Not as good a picture as some here but here is my newest acquisition.

SuperSix 1 with my old wheels (Mavic Ksyrium SLs) and my old bars (FSA Carbon K-Wings). Amazing ride :-)

Wife with her Synapse. Had the Truvativ Holzfeller platforms on because she was back on R&R and her cycling shoes were overseas.

So you have the top cap right on the stem with no spacer? I need to cut my fork down, looks hot.

Where did you get that stand?

The H300 is my fixed commuter. (How do I put larger images instead of clickable thumbnails?)

Definitely into your CAD's huh thatguyryan? The way you post pictures in full size is you have to host them off site and reference them, not upload to Bikeforums. If the pictures are coming form a database where they might not be named .jpg or .gif, you will most likely need to use the advance reply image feature to allow that to work.

My 1998 R300 CAAD3 that I bought as a frame. Found a Donor 2001 R1000si that I used the Campy Proton Wheels, Ultegra drivetrain and 105 Brakes. Then sold off the CAAD5 R1000si frame and fork to recoup a little build cost.

My 98 T700 daily driver in winter trim. Running 105 derailleurs, Octalink 30/39/50 crank Tiagra Brifters. I have a Velo Orange Hunters Pass rack on the front with a VO Campagne bag. Need to swap my summer wheels on it that have 700x28 Gators on them. Thinking of pulling the rear rack for summer to get more of a Randonneur look going.

My 98 M400 (dont know how I ended up with a fleet of 98's) bad weather commuter/ Truck.

X-LR: I started off (after bmx's n such) with an M600. Instantly fell in love w the response and handling! The bike was light, nimble, and the transfer of energy from my legs to the wheels was obvious to me (after trying other bikes [but not many, so my experience is still limited]).

QMSDC: WOW! I can tell from your pics that my H300 will last a long time

Grim: That T700 is a beau!
