It's all personal preferance. In general, Campy hoods are smaller than Shimano hoods.

Hi. Has the hood design (or anything else about them, for that matter) for Dura Ace brifters changed since 2003? I'm looking at buying a pair of 2003 7700 brifters.

Yes. The 7800-series brifters are shaped a bit differently.
