Anyone who's done a long hot summer ride will tell ya, get a helmet that fits your noggin, if it looks good then thats a bonus, but DO NOT compromise on fit. That ever so slightly too tight round yer temples that you felt in the 10 second shop test will feel like Joe Pesci's got yer head in a vice after a long hot ride. Don't make him be the bad guy!
But for the record, I still think the Giro Atmos is the top dog. |

First of all, post a pic of the helmet you reccomend. Here's the shiznit, the Briko Soko.

I like the looks of my Giro E2. I'm on my third one now. My current one is the special edition "blue flame" model. I got it on sale as a closeout. I didn't like flames at first but it was the last E2 in stock at my LBS and I had just broken my previous E2 in a MTB crash. It eventually grew on me. Plus it coincidently matched my roadbike. :D

That Briko looks awesome

I like the looks of your Pryme AL fullface. Are they primarily for off road riding? Are they heavy? Expensive? Where can I buy one? Thanks

This helmet does a lot for helmets.:)

My Giro Pneumo fits perfectly, I find it to be quite comfortable. But Ive been wearing it daily for 3 years now, so it is about time to replace. Some of the more esoteric Euro models are good looking and certainly have that euro-cool, not on everybody else's head thing going for them, but if you dont know the fit . . . You could end up just throwing your money away. Lazer makes some cool helmets. I think LAS helmets are being imported. The MET helmets like Team Gerolsteiner wears are rad, but Im not sure if you can get them here. Uvex makes some good looking helmets, though I dont find them to be very comfortable for my headshape. A local shop here in Portland OR illegally imported a bunch of Catlike helmets last year (they havent undergone US safety testing); maybe someone else did too. Supposedly, they will be sold legally here later this year. Lots of cool helmets out there. Good luck I am considering greatly a catlike. But this place seems like the only place. Thanks oh man I want a new helmet... |

These are on sale at www.e-rudy.com for $53.99. I've had my Rudy Project helmet for over a year and I really like the fit...I often get compliments on the look too.

I'm still rocking the Bell Evo2, only helmet that I ever liked-but I have a mis-shapen head, heh

My Giro Monza, on the other hand, felt like a dead cat sitting up there. The Whisper's looks aren't quite doing it for me though.
http://www.prendas.co.uk/images/full...arbon_side.jpg can you tell me where you got this helmet? when i google it all i come up with are the recalls from 3 years ago. in my opinion its the best looking helmet in this thread. |
