Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cycling Podcasts?

Can anyone recommend some good cycling podcasts? I spend a fair amount of time in my car..

So far I've found TheFredCast to be a really good one...

Try Bikescape, available on iTunes or at bikescape.blogspot.com. Based in San Francisco, it's a podcast about bike culture that also takes in sustainable transportation, Critical Mass, Bike Summer and other cultural topics.

Just stumbled across Velogal's Cycling Podcast. Short but has good info.

Yeah, I listened to some Cycling Insight. Those guys are hilarious!

Bike Talk from Davis, California was good while it lasted. After 52 shows, they ended last December. Maybe you can still find their reports on the net.

Gear Noise is a new mountain bike podcast from Southern California. It seems pretty good so far.

The FredCast rocks!!!!

Good information. Great length for listening to on the way to work. Dave is enthusiastic and passionate about the sport. Definitely the best out there that I have found.

David...you've made garage time on the trainer here in up until lately rain-soaked CA much more bearable. Thanks....and I plan on continuing to download your "Fredcast" and listen rain or shine.

Anyone have suggestions for more technical podcasts? I couldn't care less about race results, but I'd love to find one that had tips for training or mechanics or such.

Bob Roll's Specialized podcasts are interesting, though infrequent and somewhat biased.

Not a podcast, but the free videos on the velonews.com are mostly very interesting (and not about only racing).
