Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Look Keo Sprint Pedals - Opinions?

Im looking at Look Keo Sprint pedals and would like to know if anyone on the forum has used these pedals and what your thoughts are about them. I currently am riding with the SPD 540s that are real clunkers. They have the Keo Sprint for $140 shipped at BikeTiresDirect.com. Any recommendations for alternatives around this price range are welcome as well. thanks in advance!

Go for it. I have them and they're light, but very secure. It's also a nice compromise between light and super light pedals ($200+).

probikekit.com has them for $78. I got a pair of the Classics a week or so ago for $45. It looks like the only difference is the extra tension

So you really weren't looking for opinions?

Anyway, is the Dominator 2-bolt only?

I have the Look KEO Sprint pedals and Sidi Zeta Carbon Mesh shoes. The pedals are great, much better than the M520 SPD betters that I had prior.

The KEO Sprints are three screw cleats. I don't know if if can get an adapter plate for a shoe that has only two holes.

Good luck.

I have the LOOK KEO Carbons and they have been great so far. My only complaint is that LOOK hasn't done anything to improve the walkability of the shoe off the bike. Shimano SPD-SL cleats are much better for walking around off the bike (briefly of course). I guess I could get cleat covers but that's just one more thing to carry around (or forget) when I go out on a ride.

Otherwise I love them.

They have a built in currency converter if you click the american flag in the top left corner. Keo classics are listed at $44.75 and the sprints are listed at $77.65. They are currently running a free shipping to the USA special.
